Everything about Dr. Martens Fall/Winter 23-24
Another collection we introduce every year is Dr. Martens. While there are timeless models that consistently deliver excellent results season after season, we always eagerly await the new additions. Dr. Martens ensures that its staples always work but never wants to cease surprising its loyal audience with jaw-dropping innovations. That's why this season is no exception. Although we will discuss that later, let's start with the classic models of Dr. Martens boots.
As we already know, the original version of Dr. Martens boots, the Dr. Martens 1460 in black, is characterized by its slightly grooved rubber sole and a lacing system that runs up the boot's shaft to its full height, with a total of 8 eyelets. Interestingly, these boots were first designed and crafted on 1/04/1960, which is where they get their name. Since then, they have remained one of Martens' best-selling models. The manufacturers themselves advocate personalizing the boots to your liking, as they are some of the most durable and timeless boots you can acquire. They suggest customizing them by cleverly scuffing them to create a distressed look or polishing them periodically to maintain a shiny and elegant appearance. These boots offer a multitude of possibilities.
But we don't stop at just the iconic black boot; we also have the Dr. Martens 1460 Burgundy and the Dr. Martens 1460 Vegan boots available.
Speaking of staples, we should also mention the Dr. Martens Pascal, another star boot that the brand updates every season. It's quite similar in shape to the Dr. Martens 1460, except that in this case, the leather, called Virginia, is much softer and smoother to the touch. It's a soft, fine-grain leather treated to be more flexible and smooth. It also has 8 eyelets and reaches a height of approximately 19 cm.

A few years ago, Dr. Martens decided to embrace the Chelsea boot silhouette, and since then, the variety has continued to grow. Two of the most significant models in this classic style are the Dr. Martens Leonore and the Dr. Martens Chelsea Bex. One of the standout features of the Dr. Martens Leonore is its plush lining on the inside, ensuring protection and warmth during the winter months.
However, the Dr. Martens Chelsea Bex boot doesn't have the fur lining but does come with a sole featuring a slight platform (approximately 3.4 cm), creating a somewhat more robust and contemporary boot.

The queen of the platform boots in the Dr. Martens lineup is the Dr. Martens Sinclair model. The Dr. Martens Sinclair is one of the brand's best-sellers when it comes to boots. It features the same 8 eyelets as the classics and the option to lace up in the same way, but it presents a more avant-garde and distinctive look. It includes a removable zipper in the middle, giving you the choice between two significantly different appearances with or without the zipper. The platform adds 5.1 cm of height, giving the boot more dimension and power.

Now, let's talk about the eagerly anticipated new arrivals, which are heavily focused on platforms. For women, we bring two exclusive models that reinvent two classic DM silhouettes, making them practical and contemporary. Both models share materials and aesthetics, featuring platform boots with about a 5 cm grooved sole, made by combining two functional technical fabrics. There's an insulating nylon that creates padded panels, giving it a contemporary and modern look, along with a leather fabric coated with water-resistant rubber. The combination of colors is one of the standout features of these boots, featuring a blend of navy blue and black, creating a contemporary and modern look. The classic Dr. Martens yellow stitching makes them stand out even more than if they were a single color.
In the first case, the Dr. Martens Audrick Quilted Platform Chelsea is a Chelsea boot, as the name suggests, with a slight twist. They wanted to infuse a fresher vibe into the traditional Chelsea boot by adding a central strip of rubber (typically found on the sides). This rubber serves as reinforcement, allowing the foot to slide in and out easily while staying securely in place.
The second model, the Dr. Martens Audrick Quilted Platform, follows a construction more similar to the 1460 model (the classic DM's we discussed earlier). It also has the structure of 8 eyelets but adds a metal loop after the fifth eyelet, leaning towards the trekking or utilitarian aesthetic that we've seen in recent seasons, reflecting the renewed connection with nature in the wake of the pandemic.
The latest addition for this season is a men's boot available in sizes 41 to 44, which is the ultimate choice for winter – the Dr. Martens 1460 Trinity Black Connection WP. This model shares the same structure as the 1460 but incorporates a combination of three patented technologies used by DM's to combat adverse weather conditions: DryWair waterproofing, GripWair slip resistance, and WarmWair insulation. It's a highly versatile winter boot. Additionally, to enhance comfort, they include a SoftWair insole. It's everything you want and need in a winter boot, crafted with quality materials to ensure breathability while protecting your feet.
